Preop and 5 months postop.
This is a 47 year-old female who is 5’3” tall and weighs 130 lbs. She has had one child and is very active but unable to lose the small amount of excess fullness to her lower abdomen and also had a small amount of excess skin. On exam, she also had laxity to her abdominal wall due to the previous pregnancy. Therefore, she underwent an abdominoplasty with liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, lower back, and hips.
This is a 38 year-old female who is 5’5” tall and weighs 149 lbs. She has had three children. She gained approximately 65 lbs with each child and then lost it after each delivery. She was bothered mostly by weakness and laxity in her abdominal wall musculature as well as some laxity in the skin of her lower abdomen. Because of her history of a large incision to remove a large gallbladder stone during removal of her gallbladder she underwent a modified abdominoplasty as well as liposuction to the abdomen and flanks. In a modified abdominoplasty her belly button (umbilicus) was left attached to the surrounding skin. This allowed for preservation of the blood supply to the surrounding skin.
This is a 68 year-old female who is 5’4” tall. She reported being very active and exercising very regularly but was still bothered by excess skin and laxity of the skin of her lower abdomen. She also had fullness in her lower back that bothered her. Therefore, she underwent an abdominoplasty as well as liposuction of her abdomen, flanks, and back.
This is a 25 year-old female who is 5’5” tall and weighs 155 lbs. She has had one pregnancy and didn’t plan on having any additional children. After the pregnancy she was bothered by persistent loose skin around her lower abdomen as well as laxity in her abdominal wall. Therefore, she underwent an abdominoplasty as well as liposuction of her abdomen, flanks, and back.
Preop and 1 year postop
This is a 58 year-old female who is 5’6” and weighs 180lbs. She had been dieting and exercising and lost approximately 30 lbs. She then underwent abdominoplasty with liposuction of her flanks, lower back, and thighs.
This is a 60-year-old lady who is 5’4” tall and weighs 154 lbs. She presented with excess skin around her lower abdomen and a degree of excess fatty distribution in this area. She also had a history of abdominal surgery and the horizontal scar from the surgery was making the situation worse. Therefore, she underwent an abdominoplasty as well as liposuction of her abdomen, flanks, and lower back.
This is a 55 year old lady who is 5’2” tall and weighs 128 lbs. She has had two children and was bothered by persistent laxity in the skin of her lower abdomen and a slight degree of fatty fullness in this area as well. Therefore, she underwent an abdominoplasty as well as liposuction of her abdomen, flanks, and back.
Preop and 4 months postop. This is a 46 year-old female who is 5’8” and weighs approximately 145 lbs with a history of triplets. She presented with typical complaints of laxity of her abdominal wall and inability to improve this with exercise. Therefore, she underwent a full abdominoplasty with liposuction of her flanks, lower back, and thighs.
Preop and 2 years postop
This is a 32 yo female who is 5’1” tall and weighs 164 lbs. She had one previous pregnancy and gained 60 lbs with that pregnancy. She has been unable to lose all of the weight that was gained. She then underwent an abdominoplasty with rectus plication and liposuction of the flanks, lateral chest, and upper back regions.
Preop and 6 months post op photos. This is a 45 yo female who developed typical abdominal fullness and laxity after having 4 pregnancies. She underwent abdominoplasty with liposuction of the abdomen and flanks.
